Calicut, 08 January 2020: Aster MIMS Kottakkal has been conferred withSix SigmaHealthcare Excellence Award, 2019 for its innovative startups like PELD (daycare procedure forbackpain) and Venaseal (daycare procedure for Varicose Vein). Unique procedures like Cyanoacrylate Glue Embolization treatment (Venaseal) for varicose vein performed by Dr. Muhammed Shereef, Dr.Tahsin Neduvanchery, Dr.Sumith S Malik, Senior Consultant General Surgery and another unique procedure Percutaneous En doscopic Lumbar Discectomy (PELD) for lumbar disc performed by Dr. Faizal M Ikbal, and Dr. Shaji K R, Senior consultant Neurosurgery were the elite procedures which made it to the shortlist bracket.
